GEC #71

So I just received a new to me and never used GEC #71 Farm & Field in green Micarta ....the fit and finish on this one is very nice. This will be my 3rd GEC in my current line up....I have had just 3 others that have moved on. No longer will I let any of them go....

I EDC a GEC 71. Angry Waiter is right about the micarta aging. Love the size, the blade shape, the utility of it. Just wish the pull wasn't so damn hard on every one I've handled (which is quite a few). I have a small collection of six different versions . . . red, green, different (older) shade of red (my first 71 and a gift from someone here), black micarta, black delrin, orange delrin . . . always on the lookout for other variants at reasonable prices.

It does have a hard pull....but I'm good with that

My 71 is my beater in my garage. Its a tough little knife, I wish they would make some more in some bright colors.

I prefer my heavier work knives to have a stout pull.
