Hi everybody :D

I shared a couple of emails with one of my dealers over the GEC

Wharncliffe stags. I usually try to match serial # to birthdays or other

special occasions. Did not need a number this time. I was told he would be

getting in "a few" no # stags.

What does this mean? I think it means if you want one it might be worth a

call or email to your dealer to put one on hold

Now I will share my sad story (and why I am giving you a heads up)

I HAD a VERY pretty red stag GEC lockback that my son now owns :(

I told him I would be happy to give it to him and I would just order another

for me. Uh, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

All of the dealers were sold out (crap) they only made 30 of them.

I love my son, but that red stag was sure pretty.

I have one of the new stag 72's on hold now FOR ME.

I hope you all have a REAL NICE Thankgiving! I plan on eating too much

and I hope to carve a little turkey with my new Wharnie ;)

harsh to miss out on your favorite handle, .41Dude. i keep going back to look at those lockbacks. the wharncliffe looks great; would love to get my hands on one for sure. any pics of the beauty before the hand-off?

speaking of their lockback, did anybody else see a spear point lockback in the GEC production schedule, only to find it suddenly disappear? was i dreaming?

Just do like I do with my son when he sees one I have, that he wants...
I tell him, when I am old and don't enjoy them, or can't be trusted with them anymore :(, they will all be his anyway :D

Although, I do have a soft spot, and have given him quite a few. Your replacement sounds like a nice one

BTW. Zanuha, we don't criticize folks in this subforum. There are plenty of other places for criticizm, and negativity. Just sayin

Not to be rude, but... paragraphing fail.

Mike, I'm pretty sure that our Finnish friend was just alerting the OP to a potential issue and didn't mean any harm.
(But thanks for standing up anyway, just in case.:cool:)

My apologies if I mistook the intent. Wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong, and I'm sure it won't be the last. Of course, I trust no one here will notify the wife that I confessed to this :D

No, but I sent Trav an email saying that you actually did have an extra $30K sitting around. ;)

:p

Thank you for the support  but I was not offended.

Sometimes I get flack for double spacing. I need double spacing to see all

of the words I am mis-spelling LOL. Where did my 20-20 vision go?

I started giving my son nicer knives a couple of years ago AFTER he learned

they are not pry bars. Yikes.

Thats good to hear. My apologies to Zahuna for being a little quick on the trigger.

Your 20-20 vision went to the same place mine did lol. Thats o.k, in grade school I could read and write at college level. I am really not sure where the ability to do that went

Teaching our kids that the knives aren't pry bars is a good thing.
My son Travis knows that they make screwdrivers, multi tools, and crowbars for prying. I never saw him actually try to use a knife that way, but he is a kid, it was bound to happen sometime
