Ok folks, there she is. In that last 3 days I have pulled out my card and then put it back more times than I can count! I am saving up some petty cash to replace my dying Ipod, but this darn yellow rose is whispering its siren song in my ear! Please tell me how much you hate using this knife and regret the day it ever came into your possession!:(

I have the same knife in burnt orange bone, and it's one of the best EDCs I've ever used.
Super sharp, super action, tight, no wobble, gorgeous, perfect size and weight.

Glad I could help! :D

I have two of the 72s in the clip pattern, one in red stag and the other in red ruby jig bone. I hate them so much that they are probably among my most used and most carried knives. Fit and finish are perfect. Pull is super sweet. You can get the edge screaming sharp. Lock up has a little play, but nothing to worry about.

Oh...you wanted reasons not to buy...sorry, can't help you there.

Just awful to have such elegant jigged bone. Resistance fading...:D

I don't own an Ipod, don't even know how they work. Save your money and use the radio. 10 years down the road, the Ipod will be obsolete or not even work, however the knife will just be starting to show character...

I do know those are a couple fine lookin knives

I really regret missing out on the Ebony one. Sigh. Okay, back to the OP's question: how many #72 Yellow Roses did GEC make? How many are still available? How many iPods does Apple crank out a day? How many years will they be doing so?

- David

P.S. - pass on the iPod and just get an iPhone 4.;)

I just recently purchased a Yellow Rose Cattle Rancher and the colors are beautiful. You're going to love the #72 choice.

Not sure how many they made. My guess is well under 100, but I could be wrong. Not many left available...I looked around and found only one.

Check the GEC dealer sites - there's still a few ebony #72s available.

I just ordered one this afternoon, I think it was the last one they had :o
Sure hope you find one..

Sage advice. The very same thoughts have crossed my mind.

Not sure if this helps but mine came with some blade play but I think I would have bought it anyway :D
