I missed having a traditional slip joint. It's outstanding for the price. I haven't posted on here for a long time. It's good to be home.

Very nice. The 73 is a great pattern. Personally, I'm not a fan of liner locks, but GEC makes versions of different configurations, so there is something for everyone. I have a 72 that is very similar to your knife, only mine is a lockback. There are those who don't care for lockbacks either though, so it's all good

Their knives really are nicely done

Nice 73! I still find, out of all my slip joints, the 73 and 72 are my most carried.

My favourite:)

I like the simple locking method and the little bit of extra heft the lockbar brings. All that on the best all rounder pattern made by GEC in my book.

Yours is a lovely example

I find that by filing the liner tab down so it is smaller and trapezoidal it becomes extremely comfortable in the hand while providing extra lock security. I just wish they made a 73 with a 72 bowie blade, that is my grail!

I need to try that. Any pics? Yes this model with the Bowie or clip point blade would be great. I want a #73 with that blade shape too. So hard to find!
