Anyone know if these are gonna be produced anymore? There was one last site that had ONE in stock, I snoozed... and lost. I first saw this knife in single blade form at the Bladeshow, and should have bought it... and there were a few online but had a version with a pen-blade.. some sites had both, now nobody has any. Anyone got the low-down on these.. this model gone for good?

you are looking for a very limited production knife that was made about a year ago.

not likely to be made again for several years.

secondary market is your only chance, but the single blade 78's in any cover are scarce.

Elgato is correct. It's almost certain that GEC will not make the American Jack again for several years. And even when the do make them again, it's a virtual certainty that they will never produce the #78 American Jack in that exact jigging again. It's possible, I suppose, but I can't think of any knife gec has done this with. There are so many colors and jigging patterns; it's widely accepted that GEC intentionally tried not to repeat the same exact jigged bone on the same exact knife they did before. Why repeat when there are so many possibilities out there. You'll want to look to the secondary.

Can someone please post a picture of this knife??

Charlie, here’s a single blade. They also did a two blade configuration. waynorth waynorth

My PRECIOUS!!! Now THAT'S a knoyfe! ( or as Jason Statham loves to say - PUUHFECT!!!)

I do not have that cover but I do have the ebony cover option and the cocobolo covers. The cocobolo one is my EDC and it makes a great EDC. Too bad GEC doesn't have another run planned anytime soon like they do with the model 14. They seem to do a fair number of Model 15 runs too!

also my experience is that the 2017 run of 78's had perfect walk and talk, great snap, but not too strong.

a stand out run of GEC knives.
