I’ve said it before but it bears repeating, James that BF 19 recover is AWESOME.

nice 86 collections and pics everyone love the 86 pattern
I was ecstatic to get the HJs and a few Barlow not so lucky this year and one day I hope to get a NW Heritage
I regret selling a couple SFOs but needed the money back then

I've been a fan of the pattern since it's release. Of my modest GEC pile, 1/3 are 86s...

My bad! I should have remembered HJ is for a Harness Jack with a punch. I was using HJ for Heritage Jack!

if I had been able to I would have grabbed a soup bone. That's the only one I feel like I missed on this year. OP I was unaware there was a white blackjack! Add it to my list of white gecs I'll never see.

Wow, some amazing examples here! The 86 is a favorite but my ”collection” certainly pales in comparison - it’ll grow in time though.

As I have decided to try harder to find someone to put wooden covers on mine.



Its a bit of a how long is a piece of string question.

But what wood do you think suits the 86 Barlow in particular?

Anything else to go on to help the search? It’s a nice handle size to show off wood grain, I think a burl would be nice. I’m a fan of oak and walnut. Good luck, lots of folks this side of the pond that can do that job if you’re having trouble finding someone local.

Some really incredible collections here! I really forget how many of these they’ve come out with. Such a great sized knife in my opinion. Would love to score a single blade someday
