My latest acquisition was hasty, I saw it, liked it, bought it. When the 92 arrived I was very pleased. Perfect size, slim knife with wharencliffe blade with prominent swedges and the eureka jack construction. The F & F is great as it should be and the wood scales suit the knife perfectly. I was afraid that it will be a bit hard to open the knife due to the position of the nick but it is all right. And of course it take great edge. The only thing I that I would have change is getting rid of the back bolster, maybe it will happen in the future. Anyway it became a first choice for edc for quiet some times.

Congratulations for your new knife Mike!
There's nothing better than seeing a knife that catches your eye at first sight...and getting it
The Talon is a nice pattern for sure, and I might end up with a eureka jack myself someday (maybe a slightly smaller and wider frame - yes I am picky :p). Glad you are enjoying yours!

Lot of elegance there Mike. The cloud shield is one of my favourites on GEC knives. This gives me buyer's remorse, to an extent....I have a Talon but the Tidioute version Barehead (which I generally prefer) in Green Micarta. He looks a little bleak and austere in comparison to your Northfield! Great balance and feel the pattern has.

Thanks, Will

Mike,
Nice looking folder, great choice of scales.
I have a Talon and It is one of my favorite knives.
The size and shape are perfect.

The Eureka frame is one of my favorite patterns. I have one from the original run of spear points and coping blades. I don't carry it as often as I should but it is one of my favorite knives to coon finger/chicken eye when I'm sitting in my recliner.

I love my #92 Eureka in Ebony. I too prefer the look of them bareheaded. That said the moss green jigged bone looks sweet as does yours with the cloud shield.

Thank you will, Your's a great looking knife as well, I spent quiet some time deciding between bare head and blade with swedge. The green micarta is very tempting, thanks God I am not a collector :D

I've got the viper in blackwood with swedge, another Eureka with spear and coping, and would love to add a swedge less barehead version like the above some day, although I do find the swedge on this model nicer than on the Viper. Great looking knife, I love both of my Eureka patterns, this would make a great third! Nice score!

nice! i have the bare head wharnie version in ebony... beautiful lines! definitely one of my favourite to just look at... :)
