GEC acrylic?

If you carry them in a pouch or belt sheath they do just fine; however, if you carry them loose in a pocket with change, keys, whatever, they will scratch and eventually get a hazy look. Not a big deal as they can be polished easily with a buffing wheel or vigorus rubbing/polishing by hand. It's probably best to polish them before they get to the point of being hazy but I've found that they are durable - no cracking, chipping, etc. that I've seen.

Thanks! That's kind of what I guessed. I'm not much on pouches, so maybe I'll pass on these ones, even though they're awfully pretty.

I have one that I carry often. The bolsters look more banged up than the acrylic. Pretty durable stuff. Good looking too. I still want one in the eggs and hot sauce color.

Go for it! The acrylics hold up just fine....

Don't know how much help this will be, but here ya go.

They can get scratched but they hold up pretty well. I carry this #33 whenever I go out. It does have a few scratches but that's about it. It's usually carried loose in my left pocket, sometimes with some change.

No pics, but my #53 Northern lights muskrat is quickly replacing my case trapper as my go to weekend work knife over the last year. The handles are holding up just fine, in fact I choose acrylic because I occasionally get my knife around oil & gas.

The #33 is called Tortoise Shell acrylic. Here's the pile side from when new.
