Love the shape of the knife but I haven't carried a back pocket knife since HS when I ordered those lock backs from outdoor magazines. It is large, but the blade looks perfect. Anybody having one please comment on the size and carrying it. Thanks

At 4 3/8" it's not a little knife, but in my cargo shorts it rides pretty well in my RF pocket. The slimness and in my mind light weight makes this one not at all uncomfortable to carry. I don't like sitting on my knives so rear pocket carry is out for me, I haven't had a chance to try it in jeans, but it feels about like a large toothpick knife in my shorts pocket...in hand this thing is great! They did a wonderful job with the swing guard, which as a plus covers the sharp tang cut for the spring, so as a fondling knife this thing is awesome! I love it! I was going to post a review on it but haven't had time yet, but it is one of the knives that I had been awaiting its release and am totally pleased with this model. fit and finish are spot on! And,it's cool

With sitflyer on this one, have been awaiting a GEC release for sometime. No back pocket carry here, but its slimnest overcomes the extra length in front pocket. Considered EDCing one in clip sheath but they feel better as a "fondling" knife than as a user.

Feels right at home in my hand, the guard is great for chocking up on the blade, I can kind of hang the knife on my ring finger and pinch the lade with thumb and forefinger at about 1" back from tip comfortably...

This one has all kinds of fire in the pearlescent acrylic covers, a beauty to look at and not a snag to be found while fondling...lockup is solid with no play, guard is absolutely tight in the open locked position, lighter than its size would suggest, worked perfectly slicing my Italian bread loaf at supper time, as it came with a pretty decent factory edge...this won't be an everyday EDC, but it will get some carry and use...

To me it looks exactly like a Ben hogan with a different shaped front bolster. Is it any smaller? Ben hogan is listed at 4½ the Babylon at 4⅜.

That is a way cool knife there my friend - awesome!
Thanks Duncan! I had my fingers crossed on this one, and am very pleased with it! GEC is definitely On top of their game currently as reflected by what I have seen with this one and the Charlows!

I like the acrylic... very unusual and probably exceptional in person. However, I'm not a fan of guards of that type, they look phoney. Otherwise, it's a good looking knife.

Since it is a lock back, how much effort is required on opening and closing?

Wow! Duane, you've really captured the snazzy colours in these photos.

It looks great!

I've always thought those looked super cool. I would have thought that the guard would wiggle when opened, nice to hear yours is solid.

I showed it to my wife and even she liked it, which is NEVER a bad thing. ;)

Thanks Thom!
Jakemex, very light pressure to open, smooth as glass ...

Strig, my wife picked this one for me ;)

WOW Duane---what a beauty my friend!!! I have a love of Swing Guards and this is right up my alley---apparently I've been working to hard as of late and completely missed this one :p.

I used to backpocket carry a Swing guard from time to time but not so much as of late do to my work. I foresee a future companion for my Gabon Ebony Barlow in the near future ;).

Thanks for the pictures and review .

Paul
