GEC Beers Scouts and Soda Scouts

Can someone give me a quick explanation about the production schedule of GEC? I take it they only proudce a handful of patterns at a time. I don't own any GEC knives yet but I have been lusting after a GEC beer scout for a couple of months. Any guess as to when they may make another run?

Oh, I'd like to say this is a wonderful forum. I sure appreciate the atmosphere.
 
I'd guess IF they did more beer scouts, it would be quite a long time. They have many patterns they haven't cycled back through in a while. Having said that, they do at least one run of 15's a year, so maybe they will do more when that happens in 2016. The secondary market is your friend tho.

I was afraid of that. I guess I'll keep my eye on the exchange or the bay. I have been looking but apparently not frequently enough because I seem to always find the already sold ones!

I had been looking and searching for a way to find one new and seemed to have had the same problem you've been encountering. I also do not own any GEC's but really have always wanted to as well. I finally found one here on the exchange just the other day, snatched it up within minutes of it being posted, and it will arrive Monday. keep your eyes open, and when you see one, jump on it as quick as you can! they seem to go pretty darn fast around here.

The Beer Scouts are fabulously handy knives. They've almost ruined me on carrying anything else. Between the micarta Soda Scout and the sawcut chestnut bone Beer Scout, almost nothing else has had any pocket time since they first hit the market.

I originally bought 3 Beer Scout variants, and after months of use, I only wish I'd been able to purchase more. Truly exceptional knives.
 
GEC also made a Crown Lifter and a Radio Jack with a blade-caplifter combo if you aren't tied to the Scout or Beer Scout shield:

I really want the sheepsfoot blade. The shield is not key for me.
 
That clip point crown lifter is a really cool pattern. This world needs more of those :)

ha! not secretive on purpose. I am not execatly sure how to enable email but I'll go try to adjust my profile.

ok, I checked a box under settings that says "receive emails from other members"
