Should a man get a one or two blade? Clip or spear point? I just received a red jigged bone spear point. I was blown away by the fit and finish. I don't see how a custom could be any better made than this knife! I guess I am trying to come up with a excuse to buy another one,ha ha.

Well then, Ray, I think you need a two-blade with clip main. Everything covered.

Two blade with Clip main blade vote here as well. I have one in antique bone and it's great!

While the clip blade has its charms (I have ended up with several), the spear looks more old-fashioned to my eyes, if that matters to you.

When I got my Boy's Knife I had trouble deciding which handles to get. Then I thought, if I was my son's age (15-18), what would I think was the coolest?
Yep, I had to, I went with the 2 blade Nifebrite :D I know it's funky and not really traditional, but if I was a boy, a glow in the dark knife would be it, so I went with it and love it. If I was to get another though, I'd probably get ebony, it seems like the classic handle material for the pattern, when the sheepfoot #15 Barlow comes out I'm going for ebony.

I go back and forth between the clip main and the spearpoint main blades. I guess that is why I own more than one. I think I prefer the clip in the single blade configuration and the spear in the 2 blade jack pattern. I like them all so much that I cannot pick just one, but if I had to, it would be a two blade. I really like how the two blade TC Barlow (same pattern/body as the #15 Boy's Knife) fills out in my hand, and how the weight makes it feel just a bit more substantial or solid than the single blade version feels to me.

The single blade can't be beat for it's slimness and minimalistic feel that is provides. The single blade TC Barlow goes completely unnoticeable in my pockets, while the 2 blade jack's presence in my pocket is more than obvious.

edit: double post. I went to edit my post and for some reason it double posted. No clue why that happened.

I think a 2 blade clip point would be real good. Now where to get money, haha.

I wish there were a barehead spear version of the non-Charlow 15. But I guess that is asking too much given that there are already a gazillion excellent variations.

Which is easier to pinch? The clip or the spear?

I used to prefer the clip look, but now, after a few years of exposure to knife patters, I prefer the spear.

While I prefer the look of the spear, the clip is definitely easier to pinch.

I dont own own one, but personally i think they are almost equally beautiful. I'd like to get an spear point boys knife in the future.

Guys, the Boy's Knife is turning into a complete line from GEC. The next model is based on the 68 equal end frame (White Owl) and it will be given the same treatment with the steel construction, lack of sheild or etch, and in the same handle materials and blade configurations as the original 15 pattern, pretty much. So save yer money, 'cause it's gonna be a dandy! :)
