GEC calls it a Conductor; I call it a pen knife ..... regardless, it's a beautiful little knife! (Thanks Mike)! F&F is excellent - neither blade rubbing the liner or the other blade. Nice walk & talk and a mellow 4 or 5 on the pull - just right for a pen knife. ;) GEC bills it at 3 3/8" closed ..... my measurement is just a hair over 3 1/4 - call it 3 9/32.

I provided a couple of comparison shots to give a better idea of the size. First is a GEC Dogleg Jack at 3 1/2", but since the Conductor is a single spring knife it's quite a bit thinner. Second shot is with a Case Pen Knife. Exactly the same length as the Case but a bit thicker. All in all I think it's going to make a fine little gents knife!

Here's a shot with a GEC Barlow (3") for comparison. They'll be rotating watch pocket duty for a while! ;)

Looking good Coyote. I just popped on the ebony, but was awfully torn as to it or natural bone. Assume the blade stock on this is thicker than the Case?

It's darn hard to tell how much, and for sure, without a micrometer. According to my "put the spine up next to a ruler and eyeball it" method of measurement, it appears the GEC is ever so slightly thicker than the Case. Both are nice little slicers.

Thanks to all for the comments so far. I've really taken a liking to GEC's natural or ivory smooth bone lately. Primitive bone is calling my name quite loudly though. ;)

Thanks for these comp shots, very interested to see it up alongside a 25 and CASE Pen (a favourite) I can't seem to find any in Tortoiseshell that must be a tiny run. Smooth bone looks well decent especially in contrast to patina backspring and blades.

What a snazzy lil' fella. A classic gent's knife if there ever was one.

Nice! I think I'll order Ivory bone next.

USPS "delivered" my ebony today. One problem, no knife :thumbdn:

Anyone ever have USPS show a package as delivered and have it show up the next day? In my experience their tracking runs behind if anything.

Yep, that has happened to me before. It showed delivered one day but came the next one.

Now that's a snazzy knife!!!! That oughta fit in your pocket real nice and if you should happen to drop it in the dirt:eek:it will be easy to spot.

I've got a #56 dogleg jack in smooth ivory bone I think it's one of the best looking handle materials they offer.

Very nice pattern and pics. I only own a couple of GEC knives, but that pattern might be next. Never was much of smooth bone fan, until I saw this knife. ;)
