GEC customer service?

My 2012 knife ive noticed some side play on the wharncliffe, when i send it in they dont touch the edges or buff patina like queen do right? Side play is a pet peeve and i would rather they do it for one of my fav knives.

Anyone got experience sending back in? Turn around time?
 
Much obliged! Seems that wharncliffe is so awesome the handle can hardly sustain it. On my phone and completely missed it, hope it dont take too long, ill call them monday.
 
Thankfully, I haven't had any problems with mine at all. It hasn't been used as much as yours, though. I hope they get it fixed up and back to you quickly.
 
Me too! Ill be running round like a headless chicken waiting for it to get back...such a user oriented knife.
 
I had the same exact thing on my BF 2012. Took 6 weeks, its tight as a drum and they didnt touch the edge or the patina. You should tell them that up front.
 
Yeah i will...and leave a note with the knife. 6 weeks is kinda excessive but guess it is what it is.
 
Could be less, the important thing is that they fix it up right!

Its going to cut into my "year long carry", but thats the main thing...technically, I could fix it as I have countless other slipjoints for myself and others but out of principle I wont having only had it 3 months. I probably sound more irate than I really am, I love the knife but i'm OCD about any blade play.

This doesn't affect my view of GEC though, they are really doing great things.
