I have 2 GEC knives that are marked different.

Each one on the top tube cover has the number then the handle such as stag etc followed by an F.

Any idea why the F?

Just wondering if anyone knows.

Some dealers take individual pictures of knives and use a letter to identify them. Are both knives stag? I'm guessing you just happen to get 2 that had the same letter..

Some dealers will label the caps in order to identify an order based on an online pic. Not sure if that is the reason though.

Means you bought it from a vendor that decided to individually identify the knives they sold using a lettering system, and you just happen to have two that were marked "F". I have one that was marked "C" another marked "A", and another marked "3" (from a different vendor). I have one marked "06" from the factory because it was a serial numbered knife.

It "Failed" GECs quality control standards and shouldn't have left the facility.
Please send them to me for disposal.

:D
