One of the new knife "patterns to ponder" on the GEC website.
No pics yet, but I'm ponderin'....

I wanna see what it looks like dangit! By the time I'll finally see it, they'll probably all be gone, hehe :D

I am in love with the F&F line. Awesome steel, great construction, and simple looks with some subtle class.... a hard working knife for a great price. I may have to pick a few F&F's up with my first paycheck when I get back home

Ahem...

Now they are coming out with the farmers lock too ain't they? Wow they are really expanding this line of knives. Can't wait to see what else they have up their sleeves.

I'm interested to say the least. I've begun to rekindle my interesting fishing and last summer spent a great deal of time fishing various ponds. I bought a very clean (pretty much brand new to my eye) cheapo Imperial fish knife on a whim, and have developed a bit of interest in the pattern. I'd definitely rather have a GEC in 440C for a folding fish knife to tote around, and maybe even use a bit.

Looks like someone has been reading the GEC fish knife thread on this forum...looks pretty sweet.

Does the scaler blade on a fish knife actually work? I have not scaled a fish in decades. Noticing the frame shape has a thumb guard look on the bolster. Kind of thought the blade might be more of a California clip.

Is that the hogan frame?
Yes, looks like it. It looks like they moved the pic so it doesn't show up anymore but the scaler shows "651213" as the pattern number which would make it a hogan. Also, it looked like this will have a lanyard tube. I wonder if it will have a bolster or will it be a shadow pattern like the rest of the F&F knives.

Very interesting. I don't own one of their Soddies yet, but I've been itching for one. This in the orange might be pretty sweet.

I have never used a scaler before. I was taught to cook the little bugger over a fire and peel the scales away. I need to learn to properly clean my fish one day.
