GEC Farm & Field no longer O-1?

I have read on some websites the new model is listed as being 1095. Some have the older specs as O-1. I was wondering if the change was going to be permanent or if we would see O-1 blades again in the future? Anyone know if they are coming back? O-1 is one of the standout things about that line and is pretty well liked. 1095 is great, but I like O-1 for it's edge and grain structure. It is a nice addition.

The #21 Bull Buster at a different location (non BF dealer link removed)I also noticed the prices of GEC's have gone up. No real surprise there considering the cost of everything. I'd rather have it go up than quality go down or production go offshore.

Thanks.

The one hard and fast rule with Great Eastern Cutlery is there are no hard and fast rules.

I just purchased one in 01 about 2 weeks ago, if that. I do think it said 2013 in the description. Though I just checked and they are still available.

As to whether they are still producing them, I cannot say. All I know is they are still available in 01.

I've observed that if you wait a while, GEC usually comes back around to what they did previously. Let's hope not with the leg knife, though.
