I havnt read much about gecs fixed blades i really like the look of the saber hunter h73 does andbody have one they could give a little review of. Thanks in advance -kevin

I inquired about the same thing not too long ago (I will link the thread when I find it).
I've never handled one; I was interested in a 73 canoe hunter pattern. They seem to be nice knives, but their price point doesn't seem to be proportioned. Yet I might get one sooner or later. The grind looks quite thin, which would suit my wishes and use for a FB in that size range.
Hopefully, others will give you some first-hand feedback :)

I now have the funds available to pull the trigger on my first gec im going to go with the fixed blade h23 saber i will order on monday as long as i dont find anything too tempting at antique stores this weekend i will post review and pics when i get it

I've bought one of their paring knives (Paring 1) which I like because it has a long handle despite the small blade, so is very comfortable to use. Their traditional outdoors focused fixed blades look great. Let us know how it turns out.

Looking forward to pics and thoughts. I've been curious about gec's fixed blades for a while as well.

I haven't responded yet because I don't have one of the saber grind and haven't used mine (the bottom 2) much beyond being a letter and box opener... Here's a H23, a H10, and a H73. The handles on the 23 and 73 are similar to the pocket knives of the same number. The blades are similar too (length and width) with the exception of the longer ricasso on the fixed blades. All of mine are 1095 even though it has the acorn shield but I think the saber grind ones might be 440C (check for the Cyclops Steel Works stamp if you want 440C).

Thank you for posting thoes pics the gec website say both the 73 and 23 are 8 7/8 oal. But i dont think thats correct what is the oal of the shorter one and is that the 73 or 23? Thanks

Yeah, sometimes they make mistakes... The 23 I believe is the one that's 9" OAL with 3 7/8" cutting length. The #23 pocket knife has a 4 1/2" handle with a 3 1/2" blade so it follows with the longer ricasso. The #73 pocket knife has a 3 7/8" handle with about a 3 1/8" blade so I'm pretty sure this pic below is correct for the H73 dimensions. Hmm... looking at this pic, I think my stag #73 I showed above is the same one in GEC's picture...
