GEC glass handle question

From those in the know, how durable is the Pearl looking glass. I use my knives, and with a knife that big it would be used in the woods and other types of settings where babying it would not be my top priority. I am hoping that it is a fairly shatter resistant special blend, but am not expecting that. Thanks in advance.

Their Looking Glass scales are real pearl, sliced very thin, under their standard but clear acrylic. Very tough stuff.

Really- great news!, except that I don't have that kind of cash right now- I was kind of hoping to be disappointed! How do they look in hand (if anybody has had palm time with them).

looking glass models are striking in appearance, not only exciting to look at but offer another plus because they are easy to locate in a cluttered room or out in the bushes. acrylic is extremely tuff as evidenced in their use as the clearcoat on autos.
