I was just tooling around the GEC website I found these for <$40, plus the cost of a sheath. I was intrigued and its in my favorite handle material...Green Canvas Micarta. Yep, you guessed it, I pulled the trigger. I went with the drop-point blade.

Anyone have one of these blades? I haven't seen them too much anywhere. Let me know what you think. It looks like a very utilitarian blade that could serve a lot of purposes.

Pics welcome!:D

I have the Drop Point and Wharnecliffe. They're both great knives and a phenomenal deal for their price point. They also ride well in the small and mid pocket+card sheaths from KSF.

hmm, thats interesting. I've never EDC'd a fixed blade. I might have to give it a try! Which would you recommend the small or mid sheath?

That drop point has eluded me for some time. With micarta covers? Forget about it, it's mine. When I see one come up, I'm all over it.

Huh! Hadn't seen these, thanks for the heads up!
Nice to see GEC can make Something affordable..

You might also look at the Farm & Field Line for affordability. The 71 Bull Nose knives are coming through now.

Couldn't agree more! Keep your eyes open for them, great knives and very affordable. You'd be hard pressed to find a better value in a slip joint. One of my most carried blades!
