The #25 barlow I ordered came today. (Thanks to Mike at Collectorknives for the fast processing & shipping :thumbup: )



It really looks great. Fit & finish are excellent. I love the signature bolsters, something about that UN-X-LD mark I just find really cool. Nice crisp action, not too tight. Blades are perfectly centered when closed and have no play at all when open. I like the size too, fits right in a watch pocket.

Now the tough part - I've got to wrap it back up and save it for when I give it as a Christmas gift. ;) Still, very impressed with the GEC brand and, budget permitting, I will definitely be looking to get one for myself.

That's sure a nice knife. That blade style with the long pull is my favorite. I wish the hell they would have made a bigger Barlow. Thanks for posting yours..
 
Great looking knife. You are a better man than I if it does not get used before Christmas. :D.
 
That's a very nice knife. Nice coloring/refraction on that handle. It won't hurt anyone if you do a little cutting before Christmas. Don't worry, we won't tell anyone.
 
I admire this model a lot, just can't get my hands on the scales I want,too bad Collector knives won't export to the EU.

Excellent photography as well.
 
I admit it is tempting to want to cut a few things, give the blades a few light passes on some fine ceramic rods. But I must resist and let my buddy be the one to break it in.
 
That's awesome! I hope there are a few left, since my wife has been getting some very obvious Christmas hints for that exact #25.

Thanks for the in-hand shot - it looks like the perfect size for easy edc in dress pants, and I'm glad the springs aren't excessively stiff.

That's why you always buy them in pairs. ;)

Never been a big Barlow fan, but I like that new configuration.

I enjoy all my GECs.
