I've never seen one either .
I just opened a bottle of 2008 South Australian shiraz. It had a screw cap. Cheaper and better than cork -the wine can't get corked.
The plastic cork made a brief appearance but was quickly superceded by the screwcap.
So I'm thinking by the time GEC was up and running corks were a thing of the past. Although they are still used.
On a more positive note for those who like the sound of a popping cork as do I.
There are some high quality Laguioles which bear a corkscrew.
Thanks guys. I've seen the Case bartenders knife but I was hoping for a real sturdy slip joint that happened to have a corkscrew (not that a Case is not a good knife.)
Actually I'd like a nice GEC Bartenders knife. I use a Gerber gadget all the time; it stays up on the kitchen counter where every other utensil gets put away. Just can't warm up to the Fight'n Rooster one I have.
Foil cutter, small blade, corkscrew, and bottle opener. With tortoise scales? That would be cool.
