time traditional knife loonie. In a constant search for carbon steel I stumbled on Great Eastern Cutlery. After a lot of searching and reading here I decided to order a #15 and find out what all of the fuss was about; I now have a problem. In 6 weeks I’ve assembled this small collection of #15’s, and 2 66 jacks; CV Case Swayback and 6235 ½ Case Jack added for affect. I just finished thinning out the gun safe and now this, at least knives are cheaper than rifles; in most cases. By the way, this site is great.

That's a very nice collection. If you hang around here long enough this is only the start!

Oh my, you've got the GEC disease real bad. ;)

Nice collection! Now you need a #78 American Jack, #72 Cody Scout, and a #68 Pony Jack.

The only cure for this insatiable apatite for GECs is more.:D

Very nice collection

That is a great group of excellent knives. If you have a weakness for collecting things, then knives are definitely cheaper than guns. But due to their size and relative cost, you can easily end up with many, many more knives than you originally planned on.

Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy the new hobby!

Looks good to me. I love the #15s and I love how they have really taken off among traditional knife folks.

Welcome to GECland :)

Nice start! You've definitely got the bug. That barehead #15 in Ebony has my eye!

Now you need a #48 Trapper and a 92 Eureka Jack :)

Wow that is a great start!! Your missing some yellow in that collection for sure though and GEC does the best yellow bone. ;)

Six weeks! Goodness me, I'm looking forward to a picture of your collection in a years time ;)

Welcome to the traditional forum, the best place to be online.

I don't see a Radio knife in there. You definitely need one!

These knives are so well made that it's hard to believe that they're as inexpensive as they are. I've been eyeballing a Crown Lifter and a Harness; haven't seen a Radio for sale. I also pre-ordered a # 47 and a couple more 15's. I have it bad, please don't tell my wife. :D

12 knives in six weeks - yep - seems about right to me. My only suggestion might be to slow down a little bit, just in case a little more expensive one catches yer fancy. :D

and don't forget about those special forum knives coming up!;)

A nice start though!

You see knife.
You buy knife.
You have knives.

No problem.

I just got my first gec, a 93 talon wharnie in micarta and love it. The folks here got me into them and now my cases have been staying in the drawer. Welcome the to wonderful blade forum! And oh yes a peanut is always good..
