Anyone know if there is a difference in thickness of the GEC nife brite compared to the orange and black delrin? Seems like I read the nice brite was thinner, but I cannot imagine it being thinner by a noticeable amount, and I haven't seen any comparison pics of handle thickness. Maybe I just haven't gone back far enough in my search. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Can't help with the specific question I'm afraid Jennifer.

But I'm glad you brought up the topic of nife brite. Don't have any but I'm really struck by this stuff in an almost childish way! Wondering if it loses its glo-power after a while? Certainly like to get hold of a Scout single-blade in this stuff but despite being luminescent...it's an elusive knife.:D

All the best, Will

I am with you. Quite struck by it. Love those scout knives too. I'm thinking you have pretty good taste!
Hopefully some good folks here can shed some light for both of us.

Have a good one,
Jennifer

To echo what Modoc ED posted, I have an orange GEC sodbuster and a nife-brite version. The nife-brite is significantly thinner.

Looks like Modoc posted a link to some good comparison shots already but I'll throw a couple of mine in here as well. The Nife brite is noticeably thinner.

Thanks for all the replies and links. Helps a ton.

As stated the GEC nifebrite is thinner than the other handles that I have seen. Though I was mainly looking at bullnose's. I just got in my nifebrite bullnose last wens it's roughly 3/8in or 7/16in in the handle, it's late at night and I'm using a flexible tape measure so it's not perfect but it's on par with my rough rider armor hide canoe which is 3/8in when I measured it in the past. A 2 layer Victorinox SAK with the plastic handles is slightly thicker than this.

If you ever need and extra push to get the nifebrite just remember this quote from another thread I stumbled upon here while researching this exact same topic a week ago.
If anyone ever happens to see my knife glowing, I'll just tell them it means orcs are near.:D
