this weekend got a chance to test my mdl. 23 liner lock buffalo 1095 carbon.had rebeveled edge to acute angle extremely sharp. wondered if bone cutting would chip or turn edge.cut thru brisket & skinned 1 buck & 1 doe.after washed blade & stropped on palm , would easliely shave my legs.i've cut ribs with many custom straight knives & gec went thru with extreme ease.pocket knives are not 1st. choice for this but i had to check the 58 r.r. 1095 on bone.i can assure members in a pinch the gec mdl. 23 in carbon will excell. would'nt advise digging in dirt but this folder with a good straight knife & small hatchet or saw will carry you through the outdoors.
