GEC Pioneer - My first etching

A few months back I bought a GEC #23 Pioneer from a forum member. I got a great deal and even had him ship the knife to Bark River to get a convex edge in route to me. I was blown away by the knife and it actually hurt a bit when I hid it in the closet waiting for christmas.

Then I read flymons thread on etching his sodbuster (mods insert link if you like), that I can't find. Anyway I emailed him, absolved him from all blame/responsibility and he gave me a nice walk through on etching.

A note on my results. I'm happy, I think the etching suits the Stag. I did learn one thing. I bought a used knife, I didn't expect the etching to come out perfectly uniform since I didn't sand/buff a new finish.

Once again. Thanks to Flymon for taking the time to help me out.

Thanks for looking,

Mark,
Glad I could help. I am going to try my hand at one or two more knives this weekend.

I clicked on the links, but they take me to Picassa and it says "page not found".
