In 2008, Great Eastern Cutlery produced three knives with a handle material they named "Purple Haze acrylic." The pattern was #252208. To my knowledge, they have never re-released this handle material.
I am not sure if anyone would be willing to show us all a picture, but it is a vibrantly colored "loud" style of handle material. It has a similar look to pictures of galaxy clusters like you might find in a science textbook. Blues once compared it to Van Gogh's "Starry Night."
I have only ever seen two different pictures of the purple haze acrylic on the internet and they can no longer be found. It is so elusive, the only thing keeping me from thinking it wasn't a dream is the fact that GEC has it listed in their 2008 production totals.

I would like to know if there is any interest for GEC to make the Purple Haze acrylic again. I would like to see it in production, from time to time. (For the right pattern, it can look great.)
Pictures of this material are welcome, of course.
Thanks for reading,
Max
