So my first GEC is the 88 with gator shield and I have an incoming 36 with Elephant shield. Are there any other GECs with animal shields? Or another on another traditional like Case? I figure animal shields might be a way to start a collection. Thank you in advance.

Oh boy, you are in trouble.

there are lots of cattle head knife shields (NACB), and a pretty rare donkey, and maybe something else I can’t recall…..

Beaver shield GECs and a rare whale.

Hotdog shield... which is made from animals. ;)
All Hail the Hotdog!

Thank you all. If anyone has model numbers to go with the animal shields I would very much appreciate it. And don't tell the wife. This is gonna cost me some money.

How about in the shape of an "animal". This one won't hurt the wallet
Rybička (Little Fish) slipjoint knife. A traditional inexpensive Czech knife that has been produced for about a century
During an exhibition of knives in Prague in 2005, Rybička received honorable mention as "the most famous knife of Czechoslovakia"
This one from the company Mikov in Mikulášovice, Czech Republic
The tang hole is too small for a ball chain or most key rings. Think when used, it was mostly neck worn on a string cord maybe

CASE made a Bluegill Sunfish with Bluegill blade etch
BULLDOG BRANDS (Germany) made a Bluegill Sunfish with blade etch AND Bluegill in oval shield

What about animals as blade etches? Earlier GEC stainless had not only the Acorn shield (favourite of Squirrels and Wild Boar) but Squirrels and acorns as a blade etch.

Some Weidmannsheil knives from Germany had Stag heads or Wild-Boar heads on their shields, might find a picture.
