My new 72 needs to go back to have a spot on the spring leveled a little. Any idea on a general turn around? I've already contacted them and plan to send it out ASAP.

I'd be curious to find out also. Sent a knife in over 3 weeks ago but I'm not in a hurry. I'm thinking that things are backed up with the Christmas holiday and all.
If I had to guess I would say 5-7 weeks.

Depends on what's being done to it as well. I've had a cracked handle on the pile side of an Ivory Smooth Bone 73 and I've been e-mailing on and off about this for a couple of years...I keep being told they don't have this material 'in stock' so I'll have to wait until another run! Frankly, I find this bizarre as a) surely they should keep some spares in stock and b) many other patterns have been released in this same bone. Boy's Knife, Eureka, Bullet End so why can't they cut this to the 73? This is not a warranty problem, I'm prepared to pay for the new handle, but no... good job I haven't actually sent it in as I would've been very annoyed by all this. Seems if you need a re-handling job you may be in for an intolerable wait.....

Plan on 8 weeks minimum just so you don't freak out when it takes awhile. That's why we have multiple knives - just think of it as a "surprise" when it finally comes back. That's just how it is.

FYI

" It will probably be a few weeks as we don't have a actual repair department,
our assembly department does repairs when they have down time waiting for
parts to come to them.

Chris"

I sent in a Harness Jack for a total nailbreaker punch. Got it back in about three weeks - but it came back exactly the same as far as I can tell. Maybe there wasn't anything they could do.

I had a new, unused #488110 with a crack in the snakewood that turned into a small 1/2" long chip. I emailed GEC and was told to send it in. I sent it to GEC and had to wait a 3 1/2 months to get it sorted out. I emailed Chris after 2 months and again after 3 months inquiring the status of my knife. Chris told me they were out of snakewood and needed to order more and snakewood orders sometimes takes a while for whatever reason  She was always very helpful and the 3 1/2 month wait didn't bother me in the least. Im just happy they fixed it :)
