Hey guys just received a 153124 it's built flawless. This is my 1st knife in richlite, I think it's a good alternative to micarta. The color is almost wood in appearance, to me but I am colorblind. So don't harp on me to much!! 20240129_192146.jpg20240129_192133.jpg20240129_192122.jpg

Trying hard to get one of these, anyone know when the next drop is?

Those handles look great. To my eyes, from what I see in the pics, that brown Richlite could pass for bone or wood.

I don't have this knife, nor have I personally seen it checkered.

But I have used it once for a fixed blade.

It machines and feels just like a good dense wood. I was a little worried because I was sending to Europe.
My scales looked and felt just like ebony, and I didn't want customs to confiscate it.
I occasionally work with ebony, and I couldn't really tell much difference. I was surprised.

I hate how g10 feels.
I like micarta's warmth.
This feels like wood.

I pounded on a small piece with a hammer, and it Can delaminate on hard impact.
But it felt better to me than regular paper micarta.

I liked the experience so much that I bought a sheet. and will use instead of paper micarta from now on.

Very nice, thanks for sharing! I’m really trying to hunt one down, I really like richlite.

To me, the material feels like a mix between wood and micarta. The weight seems close to what a micarta handled knife would be, in that it feels noticeably lightweight. Can’t see any kind of layering though, so it must be compressed very tightly. The edges almost look like dyed bone too.

I’m a fan, it feels like a very durable material that’s well suited to a Barlow.

Interesting knife! Since it is a modern take on the Barlow, with sophisticated material, and what appears to be a current take on "sawcut", it seems it should have modern stainless "wonder steel" construction to complete the picture!!! Why go half-way??? 🤨
