GEC Shields, a query

So I recently bought a GEC H73210 fixed blade, second hand. I don't really know much about it, except for the fact it has an acorn shield on it and it hasn't seemed to develop a patina yet (not that I've been trying to). The only other acorn shield knife I have from GEC is in 440c, so I was wondering if this could possibly be a stainless model?

I’m far from an expert, but from what I read the only time GEC uses acorn shields on non-stainless are on the fixed blades.

Ohhhh. That's interesting. I'm happy either way, but I do enjoy GEC's stainless.

If the tang stamp says Cyclops Steel Works it is stainless. If it says Titusville Iron Works it is carbon steel.
