How excellent would it be if GEC came out with a scout? Does anyone think this is even remotely likely, as they go through the various traditional patterns? I bet it would be pricey, but I'd have to get one.

I dunno. Seems to me that there are plenty of scouts out there, and a limited (but loyal) audience for the pattern. I'mm content to see what they come up with on their own. They've been doing a great job so far.

It would be neat, but I'm sure it would be a very expensive pattern to do, because they would have to tool up for new blade patterns.

That would be great if GEC did that.
Personally I am not seeing alot of scouts out there right now by other companies that I would be interested in. Case makes that anemic looking thing they call a scout. Rough Rider has an OK version. I gave one to my brother (not a knife guy) before went to Yellowstone with his family. I keep waiting for the new A.G. Russell scout going on a few years now.

Only good production Scout pattern knives I have seen lately were by Boker & the recent re-released Remington.

I'd love to see a GEC Scout. Spear or Clip point main blade, screwdriver/bottle opener, can opener, awl, and a bail. Jigged bone, wood, and maybe a tortoise shell acrylic option.

Would you happen to have a picture of Rough Rider's version? I didn't know that they offered a scout knife.

Would love for GEC to come out with a full sized one though.

I pwould personally love #73 with secondary blade is can opener or bottle opener / flat screw driver. That would be extremely useful combination for camp chose. If GEC would ever make full sized scout pattern, you're looking person who is doing to get one :D

I'd flip!!! Probably buy more than one, too - talk about a lifelong user :D

Stag in the 4 1/8" frame - yum! With an awl and a corkscrew it would be heaven
