brimstone---candy red--stag--banana peel--tractor green--saffire--burnt grizzly & at bottom cobblestone
this is certainly a departure from ole timer whitts. most of the early ones averaged about 3.5 in. all these are 4&1/8 & have 3 backsprings. an unusal offering from gec but one of great utility possibilities for the outdoorsman, contractors, & anyone desiring a robust folder with a ton of versatility.the cobblestone is the only individual with that blade pattern but still 3 backsprings.

I love the tracktor green and banana peel, great knives as always Dennis. thank you for sharing

I believe I just bought one of that style whittler. I got the candy red one that GEC used in their promo pics.

I looked for the blue one, so I could duplicate this picture, but didn't see it.

I collect whittlers, but not 3-backspring ones, so I kinda passed on these.

Nice pic, Dennis. I've got one you don't (how did that happen!?!) the whittler in antique amber bone, plus the banana peel and candy red.

Do you notice any difference, or have any preference, between the whittler and the 3-backspring stocman whittler? Does it make any difference which end the spey blade is on?

eswartz i think there are some blue sapphires still kicking round, it's very tedious but if you scan all the distributor sites you will probably succeed. mamba i'm not a big fan of any 3 blade carry. the 23 in single blade & the gec robust musk are my rural carries. if i was going back in deep like the old days the stock whitt & a 4.5 in. carbon hunter would last the 10 days or 2 weeks.thanks for the response.

I am a big fan of Slant bolster knives and the Green and Yellow knives are fantastic looking especially with those grooves.
