That's a good looking knife, FG!

Does the acrylic on yours have a three dimensional look to it? My Dead Skunk Calf Roper does and I was not expecting that because it really doesn't show up in the pics. I like it but it took me by surprise. I am curious if the Tortoise Shell Acrylic has that same look.

It totally does, looks amazing! Never thought I'd be so jazzed about a folder with acrylic scales but Whoa Momma is this little 33 ever sweet! No half-stops, very smooth pull (firm but not difficult and far from flooby), and it's quite sharp from the factory, too. Really looking forward to using it.

Thanks, FG. I don't think I am going to be without a Conductor much longer.

Nice knife & pics FG! I think GEC really nailed it with their Conductor. I've had one for a few weeks now and it hasn't left my watch pocket yet. I would echo all your comments - really a sweet little knife!

Got the same knife and it pleases me immensely.

Fine stuff that Tortoise, very attractive and the knife will look even better with some patina. An excellently made knife too.

if gec would put tortoise on 53s or the larger patterns i would be all over it. only have a sleeveboard at present.---dennis

My first GEC acrylic was a Tortoise Shell #33. It really is a beautiful handle material. Great pics!!

I'd like to see it on a 48 single blade or a 66 Calf Roper. It's really impressive material, even has 'veining' running through it like blood vessels.

I have a Tortoise shell as an ornament (minus its one time occupant..:D:eek:.) this is a land Tortoise not the sea Turtle but this too has the veining in the shell. Clearly GEC has studied the original before ordering this acrylic as it's a far cry from other faux Tortoise!

I have always opted for natural materials with slippies, but these pics have made me reconsider. Nice pics and nice knife. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, this is a home run pattern. It's up there with the Case Swayback Jack as one of my favorites. Looks (Mine is second-cut stag, but they all look good), hand feel, build quality, general utility... all are stellar.

Wow. Decisions, decisions, decisions on this little knife. I really like GEC's tortoise shell acrylic - a great substitute for the real thing. I really appreciate the spring-side photo - shows the translucence of the material.
