I hate to say, as a handy man myself, I look at that stuff and have trouble buying it. Don't get me wrong, its a cool process but every other manufacture goes through the same thing. I came here as a new member who loves knives and I was immediately surprised by how influential a single manufacturer had been on the group but then I also know that's usually how it is on forums and especially knife forums. My gripe is this, how can GEC, who is doing nothing more than what has been done a million times before, charge twice what they should be charging retail? Or better yet, how can you charge spyderco prices for Camillus knives? As a new guy its obvious. You've all been bit.

You have no clue!! What you say is accusing an accomplished Calligrapher of just writing a stupid letter! You must learn how to appreciate art to live a full life, and give up Trolling sensible people!!

Oh just a btw, I don't get on here much. So any hate mail for speaking the absolute truth can be PM'd on here. I won't read it but... somebody might. And any love mail can be sent to tnes@hotmail.com and I'll be sure so send to your mothers.

Also, While I would never stoop to buying a GEC knife, I get that you're all idiots. So this is all in fun. But I still think you're stupid.

I would say to that statement how can Spyderco charge that much for a larger bulkier knife that doesn't cut as well as a $25 case sodbuster ?
This is the traditional section affectionately known as the porch, what Spyderco is doing has nothing to do with me and I'm sure more than half of us here.

I don't know if you just think a traditional should cost less because modern folders have expensive steel and titanium, or you think that GEC knives are the same as everything else but I can assure you you're wrong.

If it's the latter I will tell you that generally they are considered on an often better level of quality F&F and QC than case or the final years of Queen.
I've been perfectly fine with my case knives and Buck knives having yet to receive a real lemon so I feel no need to jump up to the GEC price range, but many do.
They also listen to customers , make a number of older patterns case doesn't , and they don't make the volume of knives case does either which results in their higher price.

Maybe you expect a traditional to cost less than $50 or something ?
