About a year ago while attending the 2010 Alabama Woodland OPS Course I met a dude who had about 20 knives on him at all times and few with the most ridiculously cool kydex sheaths. A few of his knives were sporting edges and grinds that werent from the factory. The dud was sharpening peoples knives out of his trunk on this crazy medieval looking contraption. We got a chance to sit around the fire and talk knives (which I rarely do) and the possibility of doing some mods on existing knives. After a series of annoying emails on my part that sounded like this, can you do this, oh and what about this picture I found from a guy who did this mod to his knife? He goes by GEEK here on the forums and he can do just about anything to a knife. Unfortunately I didn't get any kydex yet. Brotha just said to send them over. Well, here they are!

In Peru, the Travelin Man 2 took a beating and there is something about the mud over there that stains everything so it looks more brown than black up close. Jay removed the coating on the spine and made it sharp enough for striking a fire steel. I wanted it to have a convex along with my Indio. Now I can easily field sharpen them with a piece of sandpaper, denim, cordura, cardboard, or leather allowing me to leave the diamonds at home.
OHT Plain Edge
I have carried the OHT for years and now it rotates residency with my Hiker. When the OHT first came out it could only be had with serrations towards the tip. Most people I know (stache) ground them off or had them sent out for the modification. A few years ago Victorinox eventually came out with plain edge blades for the OHT model, but when I got one it had almost no tip. I dont think I could have punctured a balloon with it. My Stayglow OHT also came that way and I ended up never using them. Instead, I used my original OHT that had been modified because it had a pointy tip. These now can puncture balloons and be used as an all around prison shank!
RC-3 Serrated
The original version of the ESEE-3 is the RC-3 and I had one with serrations and an orange handle. Brotherman stripped the coating, but before doing so he brilliantly blued over the logo so it would still be visible once it was all stripped. He gave it a convex and removed the guard portion which in turn expanded the handle area. He flattened out the spine like on the Travelin Man and now it shoots sparks like the 4th of July! It actually looks good in leather this way.
Tramontina Golok/Parang looking thing chopper!
I am a little obsessed with cutting tools of South East Asia. After buying 3 Tramontina 14 Bolo Machetes I had an idea to get one turned into a Golok type of Parang.
The Parang tip!
