Couple sitting with Gelbu NEVER pass up an opportunity for free food and drinks -- can eat and drink more than two or three average couples -- but they are nice and quite entertaining.

The aunt must be rather wealthy because the house appears to be large and lavishly decorated, by Nepalese standards. Is this perception correct, Uncle Bill?

You are correct, Steven. This is the bottom floor of a well constructed three story house in Bizuli Bazaar, a rather well to do quarter just outside Kathmandu central Kaki owns the property free and clear and rents the second and third floors.

Kaki was married to P. D. Sherpa, one of Pala's younger brothers who died too young, leaving kaki a widow to finish raising their three kids. She is a strong, determined and very good woman and is making it okay alone.
