Here is a very recent pix of Gelbu in the shipping room checking the hardness of some blades. Hardness is called "pine" in Nepali and there are various stages of pine from first to seventh. Color is the key when hardening.

Gelbu has more khukuris than I do. I wish he would finish checking and start shipping!

They all work on the floor just like you see Gelbu. And they eat the same way. I need a chair!

Uncle,
Just tell him to pack them up and send them to my house, I'll make sure they get a good home.

Lets see... There's a AK Bowie, what looks like a 12 or 15 inch sirupati, 20 in sirupati, several wwiis and/or Gelbu specials. Then along the back wall there are some other goodies. Bill, is one of those the 25" Kobra with my name on it? (please, please)?

Cool. It's always interesting to be initiated into the "mysteries."

Bill, if you need some additional help around the shop, maybe you could get a voulnteer from the local college (there's a University in/near REno, isn't there?) who is interested in international business and importing/exporting. Take them on for a couple of semesters, and they can get real-world experience about the "peculiarities" of some countries/laws/ customs and their respective bureaucracies. Show 'em that textbooks will only take 'em so far, the reality (or surreality) sets in.

Tom, right now we could use a little help. Gelbu is up to his ears in red tape -- blame it on the kothimoda. I'll post the story when and if I can get caught up.
