The Belgian Knife Society just published the official exhibitor list for their annual knife show in Gembloux, which will take place this year on November 7-8.

There's quite a large number of makers exhibiting, including several who are well known to the readership of this forum - Erik Markman, Claude Bouchonville, Sam Lurquin, Toni Oostendorp, Denis Mura, and Matt Diskin, just to name a few. I'll be there too, and plan on having at least a few terrible knives on my table.

Being that this is my first show here in Europe, I want to try to meet as many of the locals as possible. For those of you who can't make it, perhaps this thread can offer a peak into the custom knife scene over on this side of the pond.

So sound off if you plan on being there, and if I can, I'll try to post a few photos and maybe even a brief review after the show is over.
 
post lots of photos not just a few. be sure to do shots of knives and not just of crowd and makers etc as collectors like to see knives. Reviews are always great and I am sure we all will look forward to seeing yours. TIA
 
Gembloux is great. This will be my eighth time there. Always a good time.
I will try to shoot some pictures.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
 
Wish I could be there. I'm with Murray - post as many pics as you can and please do give us your thoughts on the show!
 
This'll be my first time with a table....bringing my (as you put it so well) own terrible knives. I'm looking forward to it. I visited two years ago and figured I needed to again.

I guess you could call this a vest bowie. 5" forged 1084 blade, damascus guard, and Australian ringed gidgee handle.

I will post more over the next few days as I get them done. Then on Friday it's off to Belgium...

S7 tool steel, linen micarta handle. Fierce little thing...
 
Love the "vest bowie" but did not get the bowie look upon initial examination. Just thought it looked very clean and something great to be able to handle.
 
I´ll be there on saturday, too!
Mostly at Sam´s table or Claude´s table or at the bar! :D
