I've completed my review of Mr. Ralph's Gemini Prototype. I found it to be overall excellent and have approved it. Mr. Ralph will now begin filling production orders.

In the mean time, here's a little something to catch your eye.

Great review Chuck and excellent pics! How's the spine of the blade? Is it beveled? Will this only be an extra cost feature on this knife or does Darrel plan on incorporating this as a standard on all? Sure would be a lot less stress on the backs of the hands after hours of manipulation.

Great Chuck! Sounds that it works as good as it looks; just what all of us waiting in line wanted to hear!

The spine on this prototype has filework on it. The unfiled edges are slightly beveled, more so than the BM42's annoyingly square spine.

Folks
Thanks for the kind words.
The bali blades will have (standard) a slight rounding on the spine of the blade for long use!
The file work (if you choose that option) is beveled and polished and deburred so it wont tear up your hand. The balis will be melted, as the gun industry has done on long carry pistols ect. Notice the ends of the handles. This mean NO sharp edges and the corners are blended. This will allow for long carry and long flipping use.
Any other questions ? Just ask Ill explain anything you have issue with.
Thanks chuck for the great link.

That bali looks fantastic!!!! I love the way it's skeletonized and the roundness at the ends of the handles, I love the pointed tang, heck, I love everything about it!!

You know, it's funny that I've started making a bali of similar handle design. Mine is going to be done with inserts instead of flutes, but my line of thinking was that when the knife is closed, the inserts would be pointing down...same as the flutes seem to point down as if to indicate that the blade is 'retracted'. Yes, I know bali's don't extend and retract! And when the blade is opened the flutes point up, as if to indicate the blade is out. I really like your design Mr. Ralph. I also think the finger guards look really cool! It makes the guards on the 42 look so wimpy by contrast. Congrats! I'm sure this will be a successful project.
