the MultiCam Axe should really turn some hoods. :D

FINISH:

the two axes have an industrial enamel paint base, with an experimental Epoxy Vapor Coat to toughen the finish, and Acrylic Matte to knock the shine down.

it's been a really tough finish so far - we are going to keep trying to improve the aesthetics, while never sacrificing utility.

i call these Battle Axes, because our Gen 1 Mk 3 Hawks are a whole different animal to these, but with their balance, these make a really fine Forest Axe - i already sold off my Gransfors Bruks (which were fabulous), because these are more my style - a bit quicker than my GBs.

they want to run and play. hey you two! get away from that Comfort Kit... stinkin' surly Forest Axe thingies... grumble, rant, fume!....

this Coyote sports the Hip Bone Crown.

lopping the Cold Steel Rifleman's Poll off makes this a real tracker hammer-wise - the bit acts as an inertial body which helps keep it on course, ...and coupled with the handling characteristics of the Gen 1 Mk 3 Composite Handle, this axe wants to go right where you want it to be - i'd be pretty cocky if i had one of these and had to get through a locked up building and a couple bad guys....

the Coyote IGH Axe is 28 3/4 inches, 37 ounces, which at about 1.25 ounces per inch, is about 20 percent heavier than my 1 ounce per inch Hawk Ideal, but it is very hawk-like in handling characteristics, with almost no sacrifice in the hammer blow. - the added weight in the head should make it quite a nice compromise between a proper long hawk and a heavy axe.

the MultiCam is topped with the Deflector Crown, with ThunderDome Thru-Hole.

both hawks are hafted with the Standard Gen 1 Mk 3 Handle, which includes the Strike Plate, Real 1000 denier Cordura Skin, Real Paracord Wrap, Internal Molar Strike Plate, Polycarbonate Structural Element, Cowled Steel Lanyard Ring, and much more.

Once again, those are both amazingly awesome  I can see why they are hard to seperate, I'd be hard pressed to choose just one.
