This year we started making the Gen 1 Mk 4 Composite Handles, which is the fourth iteration of our original Generation 1 composite endo-/exoskeletal handle design.
We put the handles on all sorts of makers' tomahawk heads, as well as other impliments - these shown below are 1055 drop-forged Cold Steel Trail Hawk Heads with aligned bits and trimmed polls, to make them more efficient in combatives.
Now you know I'm not kidding when i say there are a lot of good tomahawk makers out there, brethren;
....And while I find the humble Cold Steel hawks to be some of the best performers, in the respect of heat treatment and steel, we added some things to these hawks that doesn't exist in other good field tools, which remain Standard Features in our Gen 1 Mk 4 handle designs.
Kindly note the plugs on both ends of the handles, crown and butt.
Each handle features an endoskeletal structural element, a polycarbonate tube is a part of that endoskeleton, ...which can be used as a .50 caliber tube for anything you desire, from a blowgun where permissable, to a fire bellows, or an airtight storage area - think of all the survival kit you can get into that long of a tube that is a half-inch interior diameter! - While everyone else is looking for their possibles and trying to bug out, you could be long gone and fishing with everything ya need inside your proper hawk.
While other composite handles are made out of homogeneous cheap and weak moosh - we build our handles so that each fiber is aligned for maximum strength per weight ratios, out of expensive aerospace materials that we've had years of experience with. - Have you ever noticed how infrequently a hawk maker states the weight of his hawks? that's because they are MASSIVE - that's not what you want.
We have three goals, to make each hawk, Strong, Lightweight, and Balanced.
Are these handles strong? You bet. - and Ergonomic. - Strength isn't too hard to execute though - just look at all the solid steel hawks out there - but try making those lightweight. The solid steel jobs also will light up your life when they come in contact with electrical current - ours are insulated.
i don't know about you, but i like my tactical tools so that they only kill the other guy, not me...
....
..........
Our hawks are light.
The proper long hawks we make used to fool a lot of folks when they got the box in the mail, due to the weight distribution, they actually feel lighter than our smaller hawks - the Investors thought the boxes were empty a lot of times - I saved the e-mails for posterity and a laugh.
We have discovered an Ideal for hawk physics, from all the hawks we've made so far; An optimumized General Purpose hawk weighs about an ounce per inch. - Anything more is going to be more like a battle axe and less like a hawk.
...........
Are they balanced? Folks seem to think so. The fact that these hawk handles are mostly air inside allows us to do things with the balance that is nearly impossible with solid moosh composites, which are too heavy anyway, or even with traditional wood handles, which we love anyways (but now we have composite handles that look like real wood, so...).
..........
Here's something Robert H., owner of Survival Sheath Systems, said about his recent Gen 1 Mk 4 ATC converted VTAC;
"....this is the BEST HANDLE I've ever seen...."
Consider that.
..............
Anyways,
Our standard Gen 1 Mk 4's currently feature our Snakeskin finish, which is a micarta veneer pebble finish that combines with the forgiving characteristics of the handle and its ergonomic cross-section, to be one of the best hawks you will own.
here is a Commanche Hawk, featuring a smooth Snake Belly Strike Plate, with an embedded Stadia Line graphic.
Our Standard Multicam Gen 1 Mk 4 hawks have an IR-defeating coating on them. Here's a close-up of the non-refelctive finish. I love multicam - functional and beautiful all at once....
Also standard on most of our hawks is the Real Paracord protective overstrike area wraps.
Options include our original 1000 Denier Cordura Skins, Camera and Rifle Mount accesories, various lengths, and much more.
Much more to come too.
All our work is covered with a no-hassle Happiness Guarantee. - Because we don't want you to just use your hawk, we want you to LOVE IT.
Additionally, all of our clientele are considered Investors after their first purchase, which entitles them to savings and discounts on future purchases that most take advanatge of so far. We also intend to make other goodies we want out Investors to try out - it's a great deal for everyone.
We also offer discounts to Military and our heroes in Public Service, as our humble attempt at saying "Thank You." You are excellent citizens.

Sorry to rant, I always talk too much about these hawks, but I love these things.
Some of these hawks are still on sale if you'd like more info on them, brethren;
