Gen 3/Gen 4 Questions

I'm sure that has been posted before, but I can't find the threads. My my Gen 3 scales fit my Gen 4 XM-18 3.5", and vice versa? Also, how can I tell the 2 generations apart?

Between the Gen 3 and Gen 4 XM-18 3.5" versions, the G10 and carbon fiber scales are fully swappable between the versions. But, that isn't true for the Ti scales due to the stop pin relocation/change. More here on these two generations (in particular post 18):

Yep...that's why my Gen 4 3.5 EDC is not wearing a Ti scale.

Oh good, then this orange frag scale if coming OFF my new 18!!!
