Will a gen 3 xm 18 3.5" blade fit on a gen 4 xm 18 3.5" frame?

I wouldn't recommend you swap any blades on any XMs regardless of the Generations........there are numerous reasons for that.......and as a side note.......blade swapping is not a topic of conversation that goes over well in the forum.......

Thanks for the info, I'm just trying to understand the functional differences between generations.

Each frame is hand fitted to each blade. Blades cannot be swapped between knives. The difference between Gen 3 and Gen 4 is the location of the blade closed stop pin.
