Received my new Gen 4 Slicer yesterday. Thanks to Rick and Rob and the entire Hinderer crew for adding the bronze clip and filler.

The biggest difference that I can tell is definately the stronger detent. I read somewhere where someone described it as feeling like a magnet was holding the blade in place. I can't think of a better or more accurate description so let's go with that. At any rate, I inluded my gen 3 Spanto for comparison.

Awesome! Only thing better than pics is the knives themselves. I'll take what I can get. Thanks for sharing.
 
Cappy, while I don't know for sure. Judging by the badge pictured, the nice pile of Hinderers all in one place and all the recent posts in this forum of these XM 18 3.5 slicers...I believe BP is one of the fortunate few who can place orders directly from Rick, Rob, Lori and the crew. Just my guess.
 
Very Nice BP, I should have mine today or by Monday, are those FDE scales?
I opted for the "slicer" grind as well, BTW nice collection you have going there :)
How easy/difficult is it to move the clip? are the screws easy to strip? Any hints/tips?

Very easy. Just make sure you use a bit that fits properly and apply the proper pressure and you shouldn't have any problems. Thanks to all for the nice comments. Great knives and an even greater knife company.
 
Well the mail man was in "stealth" mode, so it looks like its Monday morning to retrieve the package :(

I know 100% how you feel. It's like when you're expecting an important package, you never hear/see them that day.
