general consensus on russian knives?

Hi Everybody,

In two days I will be in Russia and have the chance to buy some knives.
The prices I have seen are very reasonable (especially compared to the rest of Europe) and the knives look good.
Does anybody has some first hand experience with any knife from Russia?

There was a t hread on russian art knives a while ago.. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=280385&highlight=russian They looked pretty good but I don't know anything else. Good hunting
