Hi folks,
First time on a forum for me so be kind please 🔪.
Got this knife in a job lot of old tools from an auction for 30 quid!
Sold off many of the articles but kept some the knife being one,
it has a London made stamp and says rathboneplace on it there is also some other text on it that is unreadable.
It is a high carbon blade and is my go to knife in the kitchen.
The handle which looked like a chisel handle broke two days ago and I have started making a new oak one.

If anyone can shed any light on potentially how old it may be I would greatly appreciate it. ( Just went to post this and realized I don't know how to put a picture on it 🤣)

Rathbone Place is a street in London with a lot of commercial property. The marking is most likely a retailer, not a maker.
Pics needed, use a free host like IMGUR.

I agree: some pictures might help...
Congratulations on finding yourself with a "go-to" knife like that! 👍

Once you get the pic thing worked ou, this would be cool to see. Thanks for sharing. It sounds like an advertisement for a company as mentioned before.
