Hey guys,

With the weather slowly coming around here on the wet side of the Pacific Northwest, I'm going to pick up a general purpose fixed blade for woodsbumming and camping - but I'm on a rather significant budget.

I like the new Becker BK16 quite a bit, but the $70 figure is out of my budget at the moment.

Can you guys make a decently durable recommendation for around $40?

Just with a bit of searching so far I've seen the likes of the Condor Bushlore, Buck Woodsman, and the Kershaw Bear Hunter. Not sure what else is out there.

Cold steel pendelton hunter. Lots of good reviews, I think field and stream gave it their best of the year pic awhile back. I have the cheap krupp steel version and its a good knife.

Condor bushlore/sapien maybe? Of course a mora #2 might work as would a cold steel Finn bear, I got mine for $8.
