Hi all,

unfortunately I hit the "return" key too soon, so the topic line was "destroyed": it should read "general questions on Basic #4"...sorry. :(

May I ask you some questions concerning the Busse Basic 4:

- in which period of time was it manufactured?
- are they all M-INFI oder were they also manufactured in INFI?
- what has the original price been?

Thank you very much
Kai

Recent production so modern INFI. I forget the price.
Ever review I've read has been stellar.

Thanx alot Jaxx, for fixing my title and for your answers. :)

I've viewed the said sticky thread before, but only found the LE version (as you wrote).
I guess the Basic 4 was also produced as a standard version, am I wrong? If there's a standard version too, do you know in which period of time it was produced and its original price?

Regards
Kai

Nope, there was just an LE version of the Basic 4, but was offered in 4 variations... All satin finished but with Black or Tan Res-C and was thin or fat. The thin versions are .155" thick and the fat ones are .220" thick.

EDITED to add: Just remembered this. These are not to be confused with the EURO Basic 4...which I don't think that I've seen. They were announced in 2001...way before my arrival into the world of Busse. :)

Am I allowed to post a link?
Isn't this a Basic #4?

Sorry I'm all new to Busse, just trying to gain some insight.

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm now out of my depth on that one and really with the older Basics in general. :o Hopefully, someone with more knowledge on those older ones will chime in! :)

ETA: as long as your links don't lead to a current auction or sale elsewhere, you're good. This one seems OK. :)

If the blade is 4", then it's a Euro 4, they weren't available in the states.
