My Game Warden SAR is in the mail. It should be here soon. I havent even got to play with that one but already I'm eyeballing the orange one. Having said that I looked thru FAQ question as well as thru many posts but still have few questions that I would like to ask...

1)I'm a paramedic in NYC and was planning to use SAR for work. In order to keep my knife mine I was thinking of engraving it. I saw quite a few knives around here with etched or engraved blades. Who does that sort of work?

2)I looked around for a sheath. It seems there is a plethora of fine sheath makers around here but I'm looking for some suggestions as far as attachments or configuration for use with bunker gear, armor and regular duty belt... I would also be thankful for any rig/action pics of wardens you guys might have.

And last but not least. I have to complement many of you gentelmen on excellent knife collection. Some of you have problems :) but that's the good thing. I haven't seen such fine set of knives in one place in a long time.

Good grab on the SAR warden...now be on the lookout for SAR squatch! And hang on to your wallet :)

I would highly recommend an Okuden sheath.

I had sheaths made for all of the knives I carry on SAR missions. They have performed beyond my expectations.

Okuden makes his sheaths from kydex with which are highly durable and are realtivly immune to liquids. Additionally they have a variety of mounting options such as small and large Tek-Locks and Molle clips. Here is a picture of an Active Duty in an A-1 with Tek-Lock. This one was ordered with both a Tek-Lock and a Molle clip. They can be interchanged easily as chicago screws are used.
