I have recently become interested in trying out EDCing a small fixed blade inside my right front pocket.

I would like
- General use blade shape
- Under $50 msrp
-7 inches overall max so it is completely hidden in pocket
- Fairly slim profile so it doesnt "print" too much in pocket
- Fairly non-threatening. I love the look of daggers and such but dont need the stigma
- i prefer wood or natural handles, but that usually precludes the slim profile part

Just like many of you i would love to have and have been on a quest for one knife be your "go to knife" and "companion" in all scenarios.

Its main uses will be cutting various non-meat objects:
1. Cut pricker vines
2. Cut/carve notches etc in wooden sticks
3. Cut string
4. Cut cardboard, including specific shapes
5. Cut plastic

I have a few fixed blades that are pocketable but none are "just right".

-Mora classic #1 - at 9" in sheath a bit big for the pocket
-Cold steel super edge - too small for my hands, tiny blade
-Adventure sworn custom Whittler - very close, but it was a gift and way more than a knife should cost so im afraid to lose it

How often do you lose things? I say use the Whittler, whoever gave it to you would be very happy to see it out there.

BK11, BK24, Izula come to mind otherwise.

Brisa Necker 70 with leather sheath is great. I run the larger Bobtail 80, which fits in the smaller leather sheath too, and you can choose between a flat grind or scandi which is nice.

I have two of the 70's. Leather sheath and the kydex sheath. I pocket carry in cargo pants. The kydex does lay flatter.

Becker BK-11. Right at your price range, for a few bucks more you can get some nice wood grips....

Morakniv Eldris. 6" overall including sheath, 2.3" blade.

Cold Steel Kyoto II - a bit long at 7.5" w/ sheath, but you could grind off about 1/4" of the sheath.

Tangram Brevis drop point neck knife - 2" blade

I bought a Ka Bar wrench knife for my son in law and he loves it. $47

Whatever you pick , I recommend the Sharpshooter Leather Pocket Sheath. It changed my perspective on carrying a fixed blade knife in the pocket. ( not my pictures)

The CRK Folts minimalist. Is a great design. The small grip locks into your fingers in a way that seems to be to good to be true.

It looks a little strange, but dont judge it til you’ve held one.

Another vote for the sharpshooter pocket sheaths. I’ve carried various small fixed blades in them for years and they really are a great product.
